Emotion permeated the room as I spoke to the beautiful women at the Toronto Rape Crisis Centre yesterday. These are women of courage, hope, and continue to believe in themselves after suffering through a sexual assault. The justice system has failed many of these women.
Greeted with smiles, I spoke openly about the assault of 1979, through to the win, after the nine day civil trial of 2008.
I was proud to speak with the women at the TRCC and thank them for trustng in me and sharing their stories.
